Modern building are now built
with high levels of insulation and air tightness due to the focus
on energy saving, privacy and noise suppression. But this in turn
leads to difficulties: tight insulation means that the supply of
fresh air is drastically reduced and indoor air becomes stagnant
and heavy.
The obvious answer is ventilation but this is accompanied by the
expulsion of air-conditioned load along with stale air. Ventilation
is thus linked with energy loss and increased costs. Mitsubishi
Electric's Lossnay concept addresses these problems: Lossnay
ventilators use highly efficient heat recovery techniques to simultaneously
expel stale air while providing a fresh forced air supply with little
change in temperature.
The result is superbly sustained interior comfort.
